The AStA Stadtcampus: The location of the Paderborn student body for education, culture, commitment and student socializing in the heart of Paderborn.
The AStA Stadtcampus houses the study space as well as an event space with a spacious bar and roof terrace for up to 130 people.

Event Space
The event space on the 6th floor of the AStA Stadtcampus with its spacious bar and roof terrace offers an optimal location for workshops, seminars, conferences as well as other events for up to 130 people. The booking is reserved for groups related to Paderborn University.

Active Co-WorkingStudy Space
The Study Space is a learning and writing space managed by the AStA on the fourth and fifth floors of the AStA Stadtcampus. The Study Space consists of group and silent work rooms as well as several bookable individual work and project rooms and covers a total of 850 square meters. You can request the group and quiet work rooms (sprint rooms) via our room booking tool.
Glass walls allow plenty of daylight in the rooms and are suitable for creating mind maps and collecting ideas. The implementation of Eduroam also allows users to surf the UPB network and access the library’s digital resources. Learners can take a break and share ideas in the coffee kitchen and lounge furniture on the rooftop terrace.
Study Space is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., including holidays (exceptions will be posted on this website below). You can find the Study Space House Rules here.
In order to gain access to the Study Space, your DeliCard must be activated. You can either do this at our self-service terminal in the AStA Service on campus (ME U 201), or you can come to our Stadtcampus office on the 6th floor during opening hours (see below for opening hours).
Hochschulsport (University sports) courses in the Study Space
In the rear area of the 4th floor of the Study Space, the University Sports (HSP) offers yoga and Pilates courses in July and August. You must book the courses in advance via the University Sports website (links are provided).
The Pilates courses always take place on Wednesdays from 4 pm to 5 pm.
The yoga courses always take place on Wednesdays from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Please note: In order to participate in the courses, you must be registered for the Study Space.
FAQ Study Space
You can use your DeliCard to access the Study Space. However, this must be activated beforehand. You can easily activate your DeliCard at our self-service terminal in the AStA Service (ME U 201) or you can come to the Stadtcampus office on the 6th floor during our opening hours (see below for opening hours).

Yes! The university’s WLAN infrastructure is available throughout the Stadtcampus.

The Study Space is divided into several areas. For group and silent study spaces, no prior booking is necessary.
You can book the individual study rooms (sprint rooms) and the project rooms (for up to 10 people) on a weekly basis via our booking tool.
FAQ Co-Working Space
The co-working space is located on the 6th floor of the AStA Stadtcampus and is designed especially for those student groups who are not assigned their own room on the campus at Warburger Straße. Any registered and approved student group can book any of the rooms. Before first use, your group will be asked to sign a user agreement.
In case your student group hasn’t signed the user agreement yet, someone from your group’s board should reach out to us.
Once your student group has signed the user agreement, just contact the Stadtcampus team and we will take care of everything else from there.
Of course! The co-working space is designed to fit the needs of all registered and approved student groups. In case you already know your meeting schedule at the beginning of the semester, book a room accordingly in our tool.
No! The rooms of the co-working space can only be used for official business. If you are in need of a room for study purposes, the Study Space on the 5th and 4th floor of the AStA Stadtcampus offers plenty of space.
The co-working space offers three separate office rooms.
The two group rooms can seat 10 people each and are equipped as follows:
- one large monitor
- 2x 24″ monitors (stored in the cabinet)
- a whiteboard.
The conference room can seat 14 people and is equipped as follows:
- a projector
- a conference camera
- a whiteboard.
